European Investment Assistant®

The EIA (European Investment Assistant® Certification) refers to professionals giving information about investment products, investment services or ancillary services.
The EFPA European Investment Assistant (EIA) is a foundation-level, internationally recognized program for branch and relationship staff, junior advisors, and operations teams. The course builds practical skills in client onboarding and profiling, KYC/AML, documentation, and MiFID II conduct (appropriateness/suitability basics), alongside information handling with clear explanations of savings and investment products (deposits, funds, ETFs, bonds, equities, pensions). Participants learn risk–return fundamentals, fees and disclosures, complaint handling, and ethics to professionally provide precise information and professional support to their clients. Upon the termination of the full program and successfully passing the examination, candidates are recognized as qualified EFPA European Investment Assistant officials recognized
across the EFPA network.
Target Audience:
The EIA course is designed for frontline staff and entry-level professionals in banking, investment, or financial services giving information about investment products, investment services or ancillary services.
Continuous Professional Development Program:
To maintain a high level of competence and update their knowledge, EFPA requires its certificate holders to follow a continuous professional development (CPD) program. The CPD activities recognized in the CPD program can be made of internal or external training programs, seminars, webinars, and conferences.
Final examination
To have access to the EIA exam, a certificate of attendance to a training course is required.

Eligibility to take the examination requires successful completion of the training course. Payment is due only upon completion of the course.
