Contributing to an Effective and Predictable Regulatory Environment
The Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA) participates in the development of the legislative and regulatory framework governing the banking and financial sectors by assessing its impact on the industry, presenting the positions of banks, and putting forward well-founded professional recommendations.
Unite Professional Expertise and Develop Joint Solutions
The UBA provides opportunities for professional dialogue and the exchange of experience among member banks, fostering cooperation on matters of common interest and the implementation of joint initiatives.
The Union also facilitates cooperation platforms bringing together banks, government and regulatory authorities, international organizations, and the private sector to address key issues related to the development of the financial sector.
Support the Development of a Sustainable, Competitive, and Efficient Financial System
The UBA initiates and supports the development of financial and banking infrastructure, improvements in the accessibility and quality of financial services, the strengthening of a competitive environment, and enhanced efficiency across the sector.
Data-Driven Research and Expert Analysis
The UBA conducts research, analysis, and statistical work on the banking system and financial markets to assess sectoral development trends, identify systemic challenges, and develop well-founded recommendations aimed at addressing them.

OUR VALUES
The General Meeting of the Union of Banks of Armenia is the supreme governing body of the UBA. The annual assembly of the Union is convened every year, no later than six months after the end of the respective financial year. An extraordinary assembly is convened by decision of the Council on its own initiative, or at the request of the Executive Director, the Audit Commission, the person performing the Union's audit, or at least 20 percent of the Union's members; at the latter's request, the extraordinary assembly is convened within 10 days of the request being submitted. The assembly is competent (has a quorum) if more than 50 percent of the Union's members participate. The assembly is chaired by the President of the Union, and in his absence, by the eldest member of the Council.
