Armenian And Georgian Banking Systems Have a Lot in Common. General Director of Bank of Georgia
During his visit to Georgia, Daniel Azatyan, the President of the Union of Banks of Armenia, also met with the General Director of Bank of Georgia Archil Gachechiladze.
Mr. Azatyan welcomed the entry of Bank of Georgia into the Armenian banking system and expressed hope that the bank will bring new motivations for competitive atmosphere.
Archil Gachechiladze, in his turn, mentioned that the Armenian banking system is interesting for them as we have much in common.
The parties reaffirmed that the commercial banks of both countries work in accordance with international standards, and particularly noted that the legislation and existing regulations in both Armenia and Georgia create fertile ground for the further development of the banking system.
Daniel Azatyan and the General Director of Bank of Georgia also discussed the modern challenges of the banking system and the possible solutions.
